1. Download

The UK’s premier rock festival for rock and heavy metal fans, 2017 saw Aerosmith’s final Download performance. Ozzy Osbourne has been announced as the first Download headliner for 2018 and the festival has released a brand new instalment scheme. 2. Noisily

An electronic dance music festival set deep within Leicestershire’s Coney Woods. Techno, house, and psychedelic trance are just a few of the genres being played out and 2017’s headliners included Gabriel Ananda and Dominik Eulberg. Website

3. Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival

2-4 August 2018

One of Scotland’s premier music and arts festival, 2017 headliners included Franz Ferdinand and The Pretenders. Website

4. Boomtown

Location:
Matterley Estate, Scotland
Date:
9-12 August 2018

One of the larger UK festivals, Boomtown is a huge open-air theatre for all generations, which saw The Specials, M.I.A., and Cypress Hill headlining in 2017. Website

5. Balter Festival

Chepstow, Wales
Date:
8-10 June 2018

Set on the Chepstow Racecourse but with roots in Devon and Bristol, Balter Festival is a fairly new, intimate and adults-only festival which saw King Prawn, Break, and Alix Perez headling in 2017. Website
